Portrait of Bump family
-
Description
-
Outdoor portrait of the Bump family. While the individuals are not specifically identified, the man with the long beard is Doctor Orlo M. Bump, who was born in 1832 and died in 1921 in Salisbury, Vermont. The woman on the top right is Angeline King Bump, wife of Orlo M. Bump, who was born in 1837 and died in 1825 in Salisbury, Vermont. According to a family descendant, Cyrus Bump (d. 1890), may be the man seated at top; his son William and stepdaughter Emma with their spouses are in the front row.
Based on the albumen print format and the clothing style, this photograph was likely taken in the mid-to-late 1880s.
