In 1976 Pacific University hosted the Portland Trailblazer's preseason training camp in their new gymnsium. The individuals in this photo, from right to left, are Trailblazer coach Stu Inman, Pacific University coach Frank Buckiewicz, Portland Trailblazer LeRoy Ellis, and Pacific University coach Dan French. Dan French graduated from Pacific University in 1956 and later served as Pacific University's head men's basketball coach from 1960-1972. In addition to coaching, Mr. French also served as Pacific's director of athletics and chair of the physical education department from 1965-1972.
