Two men dressed in suits holding a gavel in front of a brick wall. The man on the right is Richard (“Dick”) Westley Johnston (1931-2020), Pacific University Class of 1953. Johnston served as the President of Pacific's alumni association and as the alumni representative on Pacific's Board of Trustees in the late 1960s. This photograph, likely taken in the late 1960s or early 1970s, may represent him "passing the baton" to the next generation of leadership.
