Portrait of Julius M. Keeler, the first Principal of Tualatin Academy to run the school as a college preparatory course. He served from 1853-1855, whereupon he left for California. Originally from New York, Keeler was active in mining in California, and eventually served for the California State Senate. This is a copy of an original photo owned by the Laws Railroad Museum in Bishop, California.
