Unidentified wedding party outdoors
-
Description
-
Black and white image of a wedding party standing outside near a blooming bush. The bride wears a long white dress with a sheer train and long veil closely fitted to her head. Her hair is short and she wears round dark glasses. The bridesmaids wear tea-length dresses with short sleeves and lace overlay; their hair is chin-length and softly curled. All four women hold sprays of flowers. The groom and groomsmen war suits with vests and bow ties, with boutonnieres in their lapel buttonholes. Museum records do not identify the group, except for the name 'Hess' written on the back of the photo. This image is part of the Herbert E. McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer who also collected images of local life from other photographers.
