Unidentified bride and groom with dogs
-
Description
-
Color image of a bride and groom kneeling beside an antique, Brass Era automobile. He wears a tuxedo and top hat and one hand holds a cane while his other arm rests on the back of a black Labrador dog beside him. The dog wears a shirt-style collar and red bow tie. The bride wears a long dress, possibly peasant style, with a full, lace-trimmed short veil held in place by a headpiece of daisies. Her bouquet is also made up of daisies, and she has an arm around a standard poodle with blond fur. This image is part of the Herbert McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer who owned a studio in Hillsboro; he also collected images of local life taken by other photographers.
