Portrait of unidentified couple
-
Description
-
Black and white image of a couple, possibly a wedding photograph. The woman wears a dark, short-sleeved dress with a front yoke highlighted in a light color, buttoned with two large buttons just beneath her shoulders. Her dark hair is pulled back from the front, leaving her bangs in a bouffant style, while the rest of her shoulder-length hair hangs free. The young man wears a double-breasted suit, a white dress shirt and a tie. His hair is brushed back from his face. Museum records do not identify the couple, but the image is part of the Herbert E. McMullen bequest. Mr. McMullen, a local photographer, also collected images of daily life in the area from other sources and photographers.
