Description
-
Black and white image of a couple, possibly a wedding photograph. The woman wears a light colored suit coat with vertical front pleating over a white shell top. A large brooch in the shape of a bird is pinned on her left side of the jacket. The woman's hair is shoulder-length, full and curly, held back from her face at the temples on either side. The young man wears a coat with a herringbone pattern on the lapels over a v-necked sweater and a light-colored dress shirt. his hair is curly and greased back, though a single curl has escaped to fall over his forehead. Museum records do not identify the couple, but the image is part of the Herbert E. McMullen bequest. Mr. McMullen, a local photographer, also collected images of daily life in the area from other sources and photographers.
