Sorting and counting chicks
-
Description
-
Black and white image of a woman and a man inspecting chicks before placing them into small wire cages. Next to the tray of cages, a number of chicks await their fate in an open box, while a man next to them checks his clipboard. Museum records identify this as Erickson's White Leghorn Hatchery, though no location is given. This photo was part of the Herbert McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer who, in addition to taking his own photographs, collected images that depicted daily life in the area.
