Black and white image of a horse standing on a dirt street in front of a saloon. The horse is posed directly perpendicular to the camera, his reins being held just out of frame on the left side of the image. Behind the horse is a boardwalk, and the saloon behind it has elaborately carved wooden panels and doors. 'Lion. [sic] Saloon' is painted on the two main windows, and 'E. J. Lyons' is lettered in the round window of the front door.

[Front] [hand-written note in pen] this was Ed. [sic] Lyons [sic] saloon on 2nd st. between [lined out, superseded by] between 1s & 2nd [sic] [original note] Main and Wash. [lined out] sts. And his horse, in the early days. Horse bred on farm of T. G. Reaves. [white ink] Alchace. [Back] [pencil] Aldace - [pen] Horse owned by Ed Lyons. Bred on farm of J. G. Reaves. Picture owned by Chester Bridges.
