Copy of a portrait of T. R. Cornelius and his second wife, Missouri Smith. They married in 1866.

[caption] After the death of his first wife in 1864, Col. T. R. Cornelius married Missouri Smith, above, of Illinois, daughter of a Methodist minister. Cornelius had six children by his first wife, Florentine. They were: Benjamin P.; Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Shaw; Thomas Scott; Mrs. Alexander [some lines repeat here] (Olive) Coucher; Mrs. C. C. (Florentine) Hancock. One child died. This pictured [sic] was loaned through courtesy of Mrs. Dave Hines of Cornelius.
