[caption] A firefighter's pain; Firefighter Dale Wiley grimaces after spraining his knee when he jumped back from an explosion in a burning shed that contained paint and acetylene bottles. The fire started in a woodstove and destroyed an adjacent house and the shed at Rt. 6, Box 115, Cornelius, Sunday morning. The Rev. Fred Rigwood, pastor of Hillsboro's Calvary Pentecostal Church, and his family were not home at the time of the fire, according to Jim Partain, assistant Cornelius fire chief. The blaze, battled by 28 firefighters, caused damage totaling $115,000, Partain said. (Argus photo by Michal Thompson)
