A transcript of an oral history of Fabi Pemble-Belkin on her experiences as a student at Century High School. Fabi Pemble-Belkin was a student at Century High School when it first opened for the 1997-1998 school year. He came from J. B. Thomas Junior High School and was in the 2001 graduating class. The interview discusses his recollections and impressions of the school as a student, especially in light of a hand disability that prevented him from being able to write. He remembers the school as “hospital-like”. And recalls in distinct detail the events occuring at the first assembly, Mr. Barnekoff drove onto the stage in a Jaguar. He liked acting and photography as well as the block schedule. Due to the diverse population, Mr. Pemble-Bellkin remembers some intial fighting.
