Unidentified bride standing outdoors
-
Description
-
Black and white image of a bride standing in a yard in front of a birdbath. She wears a long white dress with a long train spread about her feet. Her dress has a lace bodice with a round neckline. A lace cap is closely fitted to her head, covering her hair, which is short and curled in large waves. From the cap a veil hangs down to be draped around her skirt and out to cover the train of her dress. She holds a large bouquet of roses and stands with one hand up to the nearby bush. This image is part of the Herbert McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer who owned a studio in Hillsboro; he also collected images of local life taken by other photographers.
