August Blassing was born in Baden, Germany, and came to the Unites States in 1891. Myrtle Brown Blassing was born in Iowa. They came to Oregon sometime in the early 1900s, and settled in Washington County before World War I. Myrtle died less than a year after this picture was taken, in 1951.; [back]Dec. 31, 1950.
