Black and white studio image of a woman standing beside a chair. She wears an elaborate dress consisting of a long, fitted jacket, buttoned down the front, with contrasting collar and cuffs. The cuffs are finished with a double layer of pleats and lace. She appears to wear a high-necked blouse with a lace collar and an elaborate jabot beneath the bodice. Her matching overskirt consists of petal shaped sections edged in the same coordinating material as her collar and cuffs, while the underskirt is thickly pleated with a decorative band of the coordinating fabric. She wears a simple band ring on the ring finger of her right hand, and earrings dangle from each ear. A slight reddish tint has been applied to her cheeks.
