Title
-
Installing a new telephone pole
-
Description
-
Black and white image of a telephone pole being lifted into place. Two ropes suspend the new pole from the older pole, then extend out to the rear axle of a nearby car. Five men observe the process; two wear work overalls over their shirtsleeves, vests and bowties; one man is in work clothes and suspenders, and two men are wearing hats and suit jackets. The road is dirt, and power lines and poles extend down through the center of the picture, and to the right and left of the intersection. Houses are scattered along the road, and rail fences, too. Trees are bare or barely leafing out.
