The employment index shows relative figures using 1982 as the base year to compare fluctuations in the current month. Employment in machinery, instruments, and paper are general weaknesses in the economy. Employment in food service, lumber, construction and education are noted as either stable or increasing. This is one document from a binder containing selected daily reports to the Governor, which was compiled by Gerry Thompson.
