A newspaper clipping regarding Pacific University's Academy Building burning down. It burnt down in October 1910. The Academy Building was the second oldest building on campus at the time. The building was insured for $4500, however the replacement cost was estimated as $2500 over the insurance coverage. The article details students running in to save books and band instruments once the alarm was sound. This newspaper article appears in a scrapbook compiled by Frances B. Clapp, a 1908 Pacific University graduate.
