The building had formerly been the boys' dormitory of the Forest Grove Indian School, before being converted to the use of Pacific University students in the 1890s. This building was located to the northwest of the modern intersection of 22nd Avenue and C Street in Forest Grove. Text on back: "Boys Dormitory and Club of '97 & '98- Nearly all my students."
