The senior sombrero was the adopted hat worn by the Senior class at Pacific University in October, 1926. As was the custom of several universities during this time period. The sombrero would be passed onto the next senior class after graduation. This photograph appears in an album that was compiled by Edith Hansen McGill, a 1930 Pacific University graduate.
