A statement by U.S. Congressman Les AuCoin titled "Engineered Crash Flattens Housing and Timber Industries" for the Extension of Remarks section of the Congressional Record, given on May 5, 1980. In his statement, Congressman AuCoin expressed concern for the timber and housing industries following what he called an "engineered" and "unnecessary" crash.
