Description: In a speech to the Agriculture Committee, U.S. Congressman Les AuCoin expressed his support for H.R. 11079, "a bill to amend the Farm Credit Act to allow Production Credit Associations to make 15 year loans to harvesters and producers of aquatic products." The bill passed the House, and became public law though S. 3045. This is one of a collection of digitized objects from the Les AuCoin Papers (MS.147) at the Pacific University Archives. AuCoin served in the Oregon House of Representatives (1971-1975) and in the United States House of Representatives from Oregon's 1st District (1975-1993).
